The Toy Collectors Guide is excited to bring you our latest addition to the site with the classic sci-fi hero that started it all, Flash Gordon. Alex Raymond’s Flash Gordon has been around since 1934 and has certainly seen lots of merchandising from books and ray guns, to comics and die-cast ships. The swashbuckling space hero has also inspired several serial movies, television shows, animated series and live action movies along the way. As a result, many different toy companies have released Flash Gordon toys and action figures throughout the years.
The Flash Gordon toys that are featured on our Toy Collectors Guide site cover the Mego action figure line from 1978, Mattel’s action figure line from 1979 to 1980, Galoob‘s Defenders of the Earth line from 1986, the Playmates action figure line from 1996 and the Bif Bang Pow! toy line from 2007 to 2015, which was based on the cult classic movie from 1980.
