Revenge of the Sith 2005
Hasbro released their Revenge of the Sith line in 2005 with the debut of the final movie in the prequel trilogy. Like the Episode I line, Hasbro went exclusively with figures from the current movie. Smaller sub-sets and Battle Packs were also released, along with some nice exclusive figures. A new large scale Mustafar Final Duel playset was produced, as well as deluxe figures, multipacks, and a small line of 12 inch figures.

Hasbro released their new Revenge of the Sith figures in 2005 to coincide with the release of the final movie in the prequel trilogy. Much like the Episode I line, Hasbro went exclusively with figures from the current movie instead of trying to incorporate characters from other Star Wars films. This allowed Hasbro to focus all their energy on (what we thought at the time) the last Star Wars movie ever made. The assortment of characters in this line is a bit heavy on the main stars (Anakin, Obi-Wan, Padme, Palpatine) but it still works well, with other lesser characters mixed in.
There were many smaller sub-sets and packs released with the Revenge of the Sith line, which kept things fun and interesting. Hasbro released some really nice exclusive figures, as well as a brand new large scale playset. Much like the Geonosis Battle Arena from the Saga Collection, the Mustafar Final Duel playset was massive with a lot of great features and playability. Also released were series featuring Deluxe figures and multipacks. I particularly enjoyed the Evolution sets, which followed the progression of certain characters through action figures. Hasbro also released a small line of 12 inch figures.
The packaging on the Revenge of the Sith line was actually quite nice, with the figures placed in a bubble with a Mustafar lave background. A large Darth Vader head loomed just above the lava to give it that ominous tone. The shape of the actual cards were die-cut with a large round bubble taking up most of the card. The packaging was very colorful and eye catching. Hasbro pretty much gave us everything we would need from the prequel finale and even managed to fit a ton of product into an nine month window. Most items from the Revenge of the Sith line are easily found on the secondary market, at very affordable prices.
