Summary of Star Wars Announcements
Hasbro held their now annual Pulse-Con from October 22-23 of this year, and it was packed full of new product announcements. For those not familiar with Pulse-Con, it is a two day virtual event that was started by Hasbro to build excitement for all of their upcoming releases. The event covers all Hasbro brands, but we will cover Hasbro’s Star Wars announcements for now. Check my other posts to see what is happening with other Hasbro brands.
Hasbro revealed their upcoming Star Wars releases on the first day of the event, October 22nd. The reveals were from the Vintage Collection series, as well as the 6 Inch Black Series line, but the first big announcement came from HasLab, as the new 6 Inch scale Black Series Rancor Monster was made official! The HasLab Rancor campaign will run from October 22 through December 6, with a target shipping date of Spring of 2023.
Next up was the newest 6 Inch Black Series wave that included a brand new Mandalorian/Grogu Deluxe set featuring the pair from Maldo Kreis. Also included was a deluxe Cobb Vanth, Boba Fett (Tython), and Migs Mayfeld.
Three new multipacks (Droid Depot, Galactic Creatures and First Order) were also announced, and will be Disney park exclusives.
Finally, Hasbro made several announcements concerning their Vintage Collection line concerning The Mandalorian and Prequel Trilogy movies. From the Mandalorian, we will be seeing a new Ahsoka figure, as well as a Deluxe figure set with Mano and Grogu from Maldo Kreis. The most exciting announcement was about a new playset featuring the Nevarro Cantina from Mandalorian Season 2.
On the Prequel Side, we get brand new sculpts of young Anakin Skywalker, a bearded Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Mace Windu. A new boxed set containing four different Rebel Trooper figures will be a Hasbro Pulse exclusive item online.
All announced items should be available at various times before the end of the year
