WWF/WWE WRESTLING ACTION FIGURES
1996 – 2009 (Jakks Pacific)
The seventh wave of wrestling action figures from Jakks Pacific in 2002 was a big transition year for the line. Their successful TitanTron Live series was winding down and being replaced by a new series called R-3 Tech. Jakks returned many sets and series from the previous year, but introduced a LOT of new series as well. Perhaps the biggest transition for the line was the announcement of the WWF/WCW merger (which also included the ECW) and morphing into a new WWE. This merger was announced the year before, but 2002 saw the first new products with the new WWE logo and tag.
