WWF/WWE WRESTLING ACTION FIGURES
1996 – 2009 (Jakks Pacific)

The sixth wave of wrestling action figures from Jakks Pacific in 2001 continued their massive success of previous five years. Their successful TitanTron Live series continued with two more waves. Also returning were the Backlash, Famous Scenes, Finishing Moves, No Way Out, Rebellion, Ringside Chaos, and Rulers of the Ring lines. Many new series were also released, such as; Back Talkin’ Slammers, Bone Crushing Sound Superstars, Fatal Four Way, Final Count, Ringside Rebels, Signature Jams, Stunt Action Superstars, Summer Slam Series, and WrestleMania X-Seven. As usual, several new multipacks, Accessories and playsets also followed.

Back Talkin’ Slammers – Series 1, 2, 3 (2001): WWF Superstars Line

The Back Talkin’ Slammers was a new line of talking wrestling figures that featured three waves of the biggest names in wrestling, including Steve Austin, The Rock, Triple H, and Undertaker.

Backlash – Series 3, 4, 5 (2001): WWF Superstars Line

The Backlash Series continued in 2001 with three more waves of the most popular wrestlers of the time. Most figures in this line were re-packs/ re-paints from previously released figures.

Bone Crunching Sound Superstars (2001): WWF Superstars Line

The Bone Crunching Sound Superstars was yet another series of talking figures, new in 2001. Included were: Chris Jericho, Triple H, Kurt Angle, Steve Austin, Undertaker and The Rock.

Famous Scenes – Series 2, 3, 4 (2001): WWF Superstars Line

The Famous Scenes series of Two-Packs continued in 2001 with three more waves containing different versions of the biggest and most popular wrestlers of the time.

The Fatal Four Way series of figures launched in 2001 with four different figures of Bubba Ray Dudley, Edge, Jeff Hardy and Lita.

Final Count Two-Packs – Series 1 (2001): TitanTron Live Series

The Final Count Series was very similar to the Finishing Moves Series, featuring new sculpts of the most popular wrestlers of the day in action poses with their signature moves. The figures were well articulated and able to get to other poses, but these are really nice looking figures by Jakks Pacific and best left in the action poses they come in.

Finishing Moves Two-Packs – Series 2, 3, 4 (2001): TitanTron Live Series

The Finishing Moves Series continued in 2001 with three more waves of the most popular wrestlers of the day in action poses of their signature moves. The figures were well articulated and able to get to other poses, but these are really nice looking figures by Jakks Pacific and best left in the action poses they come in.

The Rebellion Series continued in 2001 with three more waves of the most popular wrestlers of the time. Included were: Chris Jericho, Billy Gunn, Chris Benoit, D-Von Dudley, Triple H, Kurt Angle, Crash Holly, Jeff Hardy, Lita, Edge, The Rock, X-Pac and Undertaker.

Ringside Chaos – Series 3 (2001): TitanTron Live Series

The Ringside Chaos Series continued in 2001 with another wave of the biggest names in wrestling, such as Eddie Guerrero, Kurt Angle, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Steve Blackman, The Rock, and Triple H.

Ringside Rebels (2001): TitanTron Live Series

The Ringside Rebels was a new line of 12″ wrestling figures that featured three new sculpts of Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, and Undertaker. This series picked up where the Federation Fighters series left off.

Ringside Rivals – Series 1 & 2 (2001): TitanTron Live Series

The Ringside Rivals was a new series of two-packs, featuring the biggest names in wrestling facing off against each other.

The Rulers of the Ring Series continued in 2001 with two more waves of the biggest names in wrestling. Several brand new characters were added to this series, such as Perry Saturn, Prince Albert, Ravens, Steven Richard, Justin Credible, Molly Holly and William Regal.

Signature Jams – Series 1 & 2 (2001): TitanTron Live Series

The Signature Jams series was introduced in 2001, with two waves of figures. Featured were such big names as Billy Gunn, Chris Jericho, Kurt Angle, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Kane, Undertaker, The Rock and Triple H. The gimmick for these figures was they each came with a mini boom box that played that particular wrestler’s theme music.

Stunt Action Superstars – Series 1 (2001): TitanTron Live Series

The Stunt Action Superstars series began in 2001 with six new figures depicting Jeff Hardy, Kurt Angle, Rikishi, Stephani McMahon, Triple H and X-Pac. Each figure had their own unique action feature.

Summer Slam Series (2001): TitanTron Live Series

The Summer Slam Series was introduced in 2001, and featured five popular wrestlers from the WWF’s Summer Slam show. Included were Edge, Steve Austin, Test, The Rock and X-Pac.

Titantron Live (2001): TitanTron Live – Series 12 & 13

The mega popular TitanTron Series continued in 2001, but this year only saw two new waves in contrast to the whopping EIGHT new waves of figures from the year prior. As before, each wave was themed to a particular WWF staple, but both new waves in 2001 were themed to the popular series Smack Down.

WrestleMania X-Seven (2001): TitanTron Live Series

The WrestleMania X-Seven Series was introduced in 2001, and featured six wrestling champions from the past year. Included were Chris Jericho, Chyna, Eddie Guerrero, Edge, Kane and Stone Cold Steve Austin. This series saw brand new and detailed sculpts of each wrestler.

WWF Superstars (2001): Multipacks

Jakks Pacific released several multipacks throughout their WWF/WWE action figure line, and as usual, we got several new multipacks in 2001 featuring various combinations of our favorite WWF superstar wrestlers.

The Grapple Gear series was a small line of Accessory Packs for use with any of the Jakks Pacific action figures. A new Prop Box set was introduced in 2000 that contained even more accessories for our favorite wrestlers. If that wasn’t enough, Jakks also gave us some additional accessories for their many wrestling rings with the Ring Gear Accessory Sets.

WWF Superstars (2001): Playsets

Jakks Pacific released several different versions of Wrestling Ring playsets from their WWF action figure line through the years, and 2001 was no different. There was a new Action Ring Playset, as well as two versions of the Entrance Stage Playset and three versions of the Hardcore Action Ring. Also released was a new Rage in the Cage Playset, Raw is War Stage, Real Sounds Arena, SmackDown Sounds Arena and a couple of new R-3 Tech playsets.
