WWF/WWE WRESTLING ACTION FIGURES
1996 – 2009 (Jakks Pacific)

The fourth wave of wrestling action figures from Jakks Pacific in 1999 continued the massive success of previous three years. Their super successful WWF Superstars series continued, but this would prove to be the final waves for this line. Also returning were 2-Tuff, Grudge Match, Live Wire, Shotgun Saturday Night, Signature Series, and Special Edition series. MANY new series were also released, such as: Back Talkin’ Crushers, Breakdown in Your House, Camo Carnage, Deadly Games, DTA Tour, Federation Fighters, Fully Loaded, Maximum Sweat, Raw is War, Road Rage, Sunday Night Heat and Tag Teams. Several new multipacks and ring playsets also followed. This year also saw the beginning of the brand new “TitanTron Live” Series with several new titles. This new “TitanTron” series would continue over the next several years.

WWF Superstars (1999): King of the Ring – Series 8

Series Eight of the WWF Superstars series contained six brand new figures, Big Boss Man, Commissioner Michaels, Kane, Ken Shamrock, Shane McMahon and The Rock.

WWF Superstars (1999): Summer Slam – Series 9

Series Nine was the final wave from the popular WWF Superstars series. This last wave contained six brand new figures, Bob Holly, Christian, Gangrel, Ministry of Darkness Undertaker, Paul Wight and Vince McMahon.

2 Tuff (Two-Packs) (1999): WWF Superstars Line

The 2 Tuff Series returned in 1999 with three more waves of two-packs, featuring the biggest superstars of the WWF at the time. As before, there were some brand new figures of characters we had not seen before such as Debra McMichaels, Viscera, and Val Venis.

Back Alley Street Fight (1999): TitanTron Live Series

The Back Alley Street Fight Series was a new Titantron Live addition, featuring six figures with fun accessories. Featured were: Hardcore Holly, Road Dogg, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, Triple H and X-Pac.

Back Talkin’ Crushers – Series 1 (1999): WWF Superstars Line

The Back Talkin’ Crushers was a small series of four figures that could talk! Hear the Big Show, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock and The Undertaker utter their famous phrases with the push of a button.

Breakdown in Your House (King of the Ring) (1999): WWF Superstars Line

The Breakdown in your House Series was a new line featuring six popular wrestlers of the time. Included were; D’Lo Brown, Droz, Goldust, Mankind, Stone Cold Steve Austin and X-Pac.

Camo Carnage (1999): WWF Superstars Line

The Camo Carnage Series was a new line featuring six popular wrestlers of the time wearing camouflaged theme outfits and similar packaging. Included were; HHH, Road Dogg, Billy Gunn, X-Pac, Stone Cold Steve Austin and Chyna.

Each figure was also released in a “Special Edition” with different packaging and accessories.

Deadly Games (1999): WWF Superstars Line

The Deadly Games Series was a new line featuring six of the most popular wrestlers of the time, such as; HHH, Road Dogg, Edge, Droz, Kurgann and Stone Cold Steve Austin.

DTA Tour – Series 1, 2, 3 (1999): WWF Superstars Line

The DTA Tour Series was a new line by Jakks Pacific, featuring three waves of the most popular wrestlers of the time, including; Al Snow, HHH, Road Dogg, Kane, Edge, The Rock, X-Pac, Ken Shamrock, The Undertaker, Shawn Michaels and Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Federation Fighters was a new series of 12″ figures, featuring different versions of Kane, Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock and The Undertaker.

Fully Loaded was a new series by Jakks Pacific, featuring two waves of the most popular wrestlers of the time, including; Al Snow, HHH, Road Dogg, Kane, The Rock, X-Pac, Shane McMahon and Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Live Wire – Series 2 (1999): WWF Superstars Line

Jakks Pacific continued their popular Live Wire Series from the previous year with another wave of six more figures, including Shawn Michaels, Marc Mero, Mark Henry, The Rock, Val Venis and X-Pac. This series was an exclusive to K-Mart retail stores.

Maximum Sweat (1999): WWF Superstars Line

The Maximum Sweat line of figures produced several different figures throughout 1999. These figures were unique because it allowed you to fill them up with water, with a a small included bottle, and then the water would be released to simulate the wrestlers sweating. Despite the cartoony look to the figures, this was a pretty fun feature by Jakks Pacific.

Road Rage was a new series featuring six popular wrestlers of the time, including Al Snow, Gangrel, Godfather, Hardcore Holly, Test and the Rock.

Shotgun Saturday Night Series – Series 2 (1999): WWF Superstars Line

Jakks Pacific continued their popular Shotgun Saturday Night Series from the previous year with another wave of six figures, featuring the most popular wrestlers of the time.

The Sunday Night Heat series was a new line featuring our favorite WWF Superstars from the popular Sunday Night Heat show, which obviously aired on Sunday’s Nights for nearly 10 years.

Super Stunners (1999): TitanTron Live Series

The Super Stunners Series was a new Titantron Live addition featuring six new figures with fun accessories. The figures also had a pretty neat glow in the dark feature.

TitanTron Live (1999): TitanTron Live – Series 1, 2, & 3

Titantron Live was introduced in 1999, as the new premier line of Jakks Pacific’s WWF wrestling line, replacing the “Bone Crushing Action” line. Jakks included three new waves of Titantron Live for 1999, and the Titantron Live line would continue for the next several years.

WWF Superstars (1999): Playsets

Jakks Pacific released several different versions of Wrestling Ring playsets from their WWF action figure line through the years, and that continued in 1999 with a new Raw Is War Monster Ring, as well as a new Survivor Series Gift Set. Also, a new Titan Tron Live Stage Playset was released with an exclusive Vince McMahon figure, along with an “Attitude Ring”. In addition, we got several new “Mini Brawl-4-All” sets that came with multiple miniature figures and a wrestling ring playset.
