WWF/WWE WRESTLING ACTION FIGURES
1996 – 2009 (Jakks Pacific)
The fourth wave of wrestling action figures from Jakks Pacific in 1999 continued the massive success of previous three years. Their super successful WWF Superstars series continued, but this would prove to be the final waves for this line. Also returning were 2-Tuff, Grudge Match, Live Wire, Shotgun Saturday Night, Signature Series, and Special Edition series. MANY new series were also released, such as: Back Talkin’ Crushers, Breakdown in Your House, Camo Carnage, Deadly Games, DTA Tour, Federation Fighters, Fully Loaded, Maximum Sweat, Raw is War, Road Rage, Sunday Night Heat and Tag Teams. Several new multipacks and ring playsets also followed. This year also saw the beginning of the brand new “TitanTron Live” Series with several new titles. This new “TitanTron” series would continue over the next several years.

The Maximum Sweat line of figures produced several different figures throughout 1999. These figures were unique because it allowed you to fill them up with water, with a a small included bottle, and then the water would be released to simulate the wrestlers sweating. Despite the cartoony look to the figures, this was a pretty fun feature by Jakks Pacific.

WWF Superstars (1999): Playsets
Jakks Pacific released several different versions of Wrestling Ring playsets from their WWF action figure line through the years, and that continued in 1999 with a new Raw Is War Monster Ring, as well as a new Survivor Series Gift Set. Also, a new Titan Tron Live Stage Playset was released with an exclusive Vince McMahon figure, along with an “Attitude Ring”. In addition, we got several new “Mini Brawl-4-All” sets that came with multiple miniature figures and a wrestling ring playset.
