1996 – 2009 (Jakks Pacific)
Jakks Pacific began their hugely successful and widely popular WWF/WWE Wrestling Action Figure series in 1996, which ran all the way until 2009. Jakks’ toy line definitely left a huge impact on the wrestling toy world, which continues to this day. It all began with two waves of WWF Superstars figures, a couple of Multipacks and a Wrestling Ring playset. These first figures were known as the “Bone Crunching Action” series, which would run until 1999.
WWF Superstars (1996): Bone Crunching Action – Series 1
The first wave of WWF Superstars with Bone Crunching Action featured Bret Hart, Diesel, Goldust, Razor Ramon, Shawn Michaels and Undertaker. These figures were produced with either a Butterfly tab or a J-Hook card back.

The Second wave of WWF Superstars with Bone Crunching Action featured re-paints of Series one figures Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and Undertaker, along with new figures of Owen Hart, Ultimate Warrior and Vader. The second wave is distinguished with a gold packaging background instead of the blue from the first wave.

Jakks Pacific released a TON of multipacks for their WWF/WWE Superstars line over the years, but their premier wave in 1996 saw only two. There was an exclusive two-pack with Razor Ramon and Diesel, along with a Survivor Series Four-Pack including Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels, Goldust and Ultimate Warrior.
