WCW WRESTLING ACTION FIGURES
1999 – 2001 (Toy Biz)

Toy Biz’s WCW Wrestling Action Figure series only ran for three years from 1999 to 2001, but they definitely left a big impact on the wrestling toy world. Toy Biz, who was mostly known for their Marvel Super Hero lines, proved that you can do much more with these colorful and larger than life characters then just your standard limited pose action figures. They showed us that you could have a lot of fun with these characters, and still produce quality detailed figures over multiple themes and settings.

Brawlin’ Bikers (1999): WCW / NWO

The Brawlin’ Bikers included a wrestler atop a motorcycle. Included were such big names as Hulk Hogan, Macho Man Savage, Goldberg, DDP and Sting.

Bruisers (1999): WCW Wrestling Figures

The Bruisers Series included the top names of the WCW with fun accessories. Included were such big names as Macho Man, Goldberg, DDP, Kevin Nash and Sting.

Collector’s Edition – 8″ Figures (1999): WCW Wrestling

This high end Collector’s Series included Kevin Nash, Hollywood Hogan and Sting in a new 8″ format with cloth outfits, Mego style.

Grip ‘N Flip Wrestlers (1999): WCW Wrestling Figures

The Grip ‘N Flip Wrestlers were a series of two-packs featuring the biggest names of the WCW in miniature form. Each figure featured “Magnetic Flipping Action” for that extra fun factor.

Ring Fighters (1999): WCW Wrestling Figures

The Ring Fighters featured the biggest names of the WCW with a corner of a wrestling ring. Get any four figures to make a complete ring. The figures also were released on a “small card” that did not include the wrestling ring pieces.

The Ring Masters included the top names of the WCW in super fun themes with accessories. Included were such big names as Bret Hart, Goldberg, & Hollywood Hogan.

Rumble ‘N Roar Wrestlers (1999): WCW Wrestling Figures

The Rumble ‘N Roar Wrestlers was a small series of only two figures that features electronic sounds. Included were Goldberg and Sting.

Slam ‘N Crunch (1999): WCW Wrestling Figures

The Slam ‘N Crunch series included the top names of the WCW with fun accessories. Included were such big names as Goldberg, Kevin Nash & Sting.

Smash ‘N Slam (1999): WCW Wrestling Figures

The Smash ‘N Slam series featured the biggest names of the WCW with fun accessories. The figures also were released on a “small card” without the wrestling ring packaging.

Steel Slammers (1999): WCW Wrestling Figures

The Steel Slammers featured the biggest names of the WCW in miniature form. These small figures were molded plastic and had no articulation at all.

Tuff Talkin’ Wrestlers (1999): WCW Wrestling Figures

The Tuff Talkin’ Wrestlers was a series of figures that features electronic sounds. Included were Buff Bagwell, Konnan, Macho Man and Scott Steiner. Two packs were also released with Sting, DDP, Goldberg & Kevin Nash.

Bash at the Beach (2000): WCW Wrestling Figures

The Bash at the Beach series featured the biggest names of the WCW with fun water themed accessories. Included were Bret Hart, DDP, Goldberg, Total Package and Sting.

The Bend ‘N Flex series featured the biggest names of the WCW in miniature form. These figures were molded plastic with no articulation at all.

The Nitro Active series featured the biggest names of the WCW with the Monday Nitro theme. In addition to the single packs, three different 3-packs were also released for the series.

SLAM Force (Marvel) (2000): WCW Wrestling Figures

The SLAM Force series featured Bret Hart, Goldberg, Kevin Nash and Sting in super hero styled themes and accessories. Even though Marvel owned Toy Biz at the time, this was the only crossover between Marvel and the WCW wrestlers.

The WCW TNT series featured Goldberg, Jeff Jarrett, Scott Steiner and Vampiro with the TNT theme. Each figure included a wrestler themed tattoo.

WCW Wrestling Figures (1999-2001): Multipacks

Toy Biz released several multipacks throughout their WCW action figure line from 19999 to 2001. Some of these packs were included with their appropriate series sections, but the following multipacks were not themed to any particular series.

WCW Wrestling Figures (1999-2001): Accessories & Playsets

Toy Biz released several different versions of Wrestling Ring playsets from their WCW action figure line from 1999 to 2001. There were two versions of their Electronic Monday Nitro Arena set, as well as three versions of the Smash ‘N Slam Wrestling Ring, a Bash at the Beach Ring Playset, the New Blood Wrestling Ring and a Super Brawl 2000 set.

The WCW (World Championship Wrestling) wrestling action figure line produced by Toy Biz was a popular toy line that captured the excitement and energy of the professional wrestling world during its peak in the 1990s and 2000s. The figures were based on WCW wrestlers and showcased their signature moves, poses, and attire. Toy Biz was an up and coming toy company at the time. They acquired the license to produce action figures based on WCW’s roster of wrestlers and began rolling them out in 1999. They created highly detailed and articulated figures that wrestling fans could collect and play with. The WCW action figures were known for their attention to detail and articulation, which allowed for a wide range of poses and wrestling moves. Many figures had multiple points of articulation at the neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, and ankles, making them ideal for recreating wrestling matches and stunts. The figures often came with fun accessories such as championship belts, props, and even miniature wrestling rings.

The WCW action figure line included a wide range of wrestlers, from main event stars to mid-card performers. Iconic figures like Hollywood Hogan, Sting, Goldberg, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, and Diamond Dallas Page were prominently featured in the line. Fans could also collect figures of tag teams, cruiserweights, and other popular characters from the WCW universe. In addition to individual figures, Toy Biz also released playsets and accessories that enhanced the play experience. One notable offering was the WCW Nitro Arena Playset, which included a miniature wrestling ring, audience seats, and various accessories for creating dynamic wrestling scenes. Also introduced for the line were several multipacks containing multiple figures bundled together throughout the line.

The WCW action figure line by Toy Biz captured a significant moment in wrestling history, as WCW was a major rival to WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) during the “Monday Night Wars” era. However, the WCW brand faced financial and creative challenges, which ultimately led to its downfall. As a result, Toy Biz discontinued the WCW action figure line around 2001. Today, these Toy Biz WCW action figures have become collectibles for wrestling fans and toy enthusiasts alike, often evoking nostalgia for the wrestling era they represent.
